John is a Senior Automation Specialist on our Automation Team, joining us after three decades of experience at Toyota. He spent 21 of those years in maintenance and nine years as a Controls Engineer. John graduated from Morehead University with a degree in Industrial Technology and later received a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Technology from Eastern Kentucky University.
John met much of the Automation Team through their joint experiences at Toyota. While it’s amazing working with his old coworkers Donnie and Dotson, there are some downsides… they won’t let him shake his old nickname: BGH. Standing for “Big Head Hutchinson”. All we can say is that at least now he doesn’t have it written on his hard hat! When BGH isn’t working, he enjoys spending time fishing for bass and bluegill with his family. He loves to grill and bake fish, but he hates cleaning them so much that his fishing trips end in throwing them back, and suppers are bought from Kroger.
